Meet Raphael Velez Rivera, a highly qualified and experienced instructor with multiple certifications under his belt. In addition to being a certified USCCA firearm and self-defense instructor, he is also a Grand Master in Tang Soo Do (Korean Martial Arts) and KunTao (Filipino Martial Arts). He has competed professionally under the International Sport Karate Association (IKSA) with 7 National and world titles. He has been inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honor and Masters of the Martial Arts HOF. He is a professional Dive Master with SSI with over 400 dives. Raphael has worked as a mental health counselor for 25 years. He is the founder of Lake Ridge Family Martial Arts, LLC and Alliance Firearms Defensive Concepts, LLC. He is dedicated to helping individuals and families learn how to protect themselves and their loved ones through the use of firearms, martial arts, and other self-defense tactics. With his extensive knowledge, personalized approach, and commitment to safety, Raphael is the ideal instructor for anyone looking to improve their self-defense skills.

Sheepdog Response
Raphael has completed training with Sheepdog Response, a provider of self-defense and firearms instruction. Through this training, he has learned self-defense tactics, striking skills, weapons retention, situational awareness, and more.
Firearms Instructor with United States Concealed Carry Association
As a USCCA-certified firearms instructor, Raphael is well-versed in the fundamentals of firearms safety and marksmanship. He is qualified to teach courses on defensive shooting concepts, emergency first-aid fundamentals, concealed carry and home defense, and more.

Jamey Wyman is a highly decorated veteran who has been awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, 2-Armed Forces Expeditionary Medals, the Good Conduct Medal, and 2 Sea Service Deployment Ribbons. He is a proud husband and father of two children. As a fully-vetted USCCA certified instructor, Jamye is qualified to teach CCW and home defense courses.
